History

Iron Arrow Honor Society was founded in 1926 by student, Francis Spencer Houghtaling, and University of Miami President Bowman Foster Ashe. The Highest Honor Attained at the University of Miami - Iron Arrow ritual and tradition was established through our relationship with the Seminole Nation at its inception and currently with the Miccosukee Tribe of Indians of Florida.

To get to know Iron Arrow, you must get to know the University of Miami. It is our mission to preserve, protect, and pass on traditions of the University of Miami.
